Plant-Based Meal: We encourage a plant-based meal to support our mission focused on environmental, social justice and animal rights issues.

 The New Deal Café serves a variety of plant-based meals.  Online attendees can order a meal for takeout at the Café. Greenbelt’s Co-op Grocery also offers takeout Dodah’s Vegan Lasagna at the Deli Hot Bar – pick up after 11am. 

Please note:   NDC Management asks that outside food not be brought into NDC.

Reel and Meal will present “Home is a Human Right: A Series on Immigration” at the New Deal Cafe on Monday, July 17th.   This powerful film series will be shown along with a short Utopia Film Festival selection.

Conflict, climate change and poverty are creating a growing world crisis of enormous proportions. The current prediction is for a billion climate refugees within ten years.  Already the world situation is a disaster.

This film and discussion event is brought to you by the Greenbelt Refugee Aid Committee. Discussion will be led by representatives with Greenbelt-based LSSNCA, the Lutheran Social Services National Capital Area.
